Skyrim: I'm Gonna Be a Serial Killer

So I was cruising the archives of Geekologie and encountered this article which contain a YouTube video of one individuals journey through the mountains of Skyrim.  The player in question decided a fun way for the dragon-born to spend his time would be murdering and decapitating the women of Tamriel.  By the way he then catalogs there severed heads on a book-shelf.

My thought upon watching this video was not shock or disgust but, envy, that I didn't think of it first.  So tonight I plan to boot up the old XBox and start my journey as the next great serial killer if Tamriel.  Wish me luck.

Hotline Miami Fix

If you enjoyed the bizzare, neon, surrealism that was Dennaton Games, Hotline Miami do I have a couple treats for you.

First how would you like unfettered access to the soundtrack, with no download and no broken laws?  Done!

Next, in my last blog I was whining about wanting more, needing to remain connected to the bizzare visceral terrain of Hotline Miami.  Who knew my dreams would come true in the form of an RPG actual play.  But, it was amazingly done by the guys over at Role-Playing Public Radio.  All I'm gonna say is Cthulhu check it out here.

Pong Fanfic FTW!

Okay I'm not usually a fanfic reader, for all the obvious reasons.  However, I just blazed through Hotline Miami and found the story, or lack there of, so compelling that I found myself wandering the video games section of fanfiction.net praying to find some decent Hotline Miami stories.  No such luck.  I did however find that there is a plethera of Pong fanfic.  On a whim I gave one a read and actually found it really entertaining.  It was written by someone called Angel1876 and is entitled "Beep, Whoosh."  Here's a link.

Hilarious Fiasco

So I was just scrolling through my podcatcher and came across an actual play from the guys over at RPGMP3 entitled "Santa's Sweatshop."  This was a positively hilarious game of Fiasco in that envolved a secret Elven liberation organization, a brothel run by Mrs. Claus, naughty blackmail photos, betrayal, and copious amounts of anal rape.  Needless to say it was a gas.  The guys on the line kept looking at me like I was crazy every time I'd bust out laughing abruptly.  I've got to get my hands on a copy of Fiasco and try it with the guys.  Hal, one of the hosts, said he was gonna put this set up for other people to play, if I can find it I'll post a link.
